Based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, I’m Heather, from Art of Life Films. I’d love to be your wedding photographer or videographer, whether you’re getting married locally in Kent or Sussex, or further afield in Scotland, England, Wales or Ireland, or having a destination wedding abroad.
So why might you want to choose me? Here’s a little bit about me and what my name stands for.

Are you wondering what could make me stand out as a wedding videographer and Photographer?
H is for Happy
Recently a guest complimented me, saying I had a lovely radiant face, and obviously happy to be filming the wedding. And this was after filming a wedding party of 150 for nine hours at a stunning and elaborate wedding at Lancaster House, next to Buckingham Palace.
I love being around people, filming the action and the atmosphere, and
I’m naturally positive, kind, calm and chilled. Always going with the flow, so even if you’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed, I'll leave you feeling in control and enthusiastic for what’s to come. I exude a calm excitement if that makes sense!

E is for Emotive and Emotional
I follow your story and I’m in the right place at the right time.
I don’t just record your day; I use creative storytelling composition to get across the feelings and the moments that made you laugh, brought a lump to your throat or tears to your eyes.
I shoot from multiple angles for the ceremony and the speeches: wider angle shots of you in context with your guests around you, as well as close-ups of the details and emotions. For the rest of the day I normally use one camera so I can move quickly and not miss anything.
And not just images: I capture the sound and the audio: the ambience, the music, your words, your vows, your speeches.

A is for Adaptable
Regardless of if your venue is small or grand, from registry offices or beaches to palaces, castles and mansions, I’ll do my very best to accommodate your wishes. Do you want specific shots? Posed or natural? Do you want a particular genre of music? I offer a range of packages, but these are just a guide, and you can personalise what films you have.
Some videographers and photographers limit their hours. I don’t want to miss anything from your wedding, so if you have something special happening you want included, just tell me. I’ll also be honest with you about any possible impact this might have on the rest of the footage, so you can make an informed choice.

H is for Harmony

Different types of venues, rooms and weather. Harsh sun? Check. Pouring rain? Check. I balance using enough cameras for the venue, and liaise with the venue and other suppliers to make sure we all get our job done.
I get to know your schedule and your ‘shot list’ inside out, so I can be in the right place at the right time throughout the day.
I also tell you when a second shooter will be worth adding on. But equally, if you only want one videographer, I’m clear on what’s achievable and I give you the choice on what moments to prioritise.
I’m skilled at posing couples and guests; I know when not to pose, but I also know how to subtly help you so you always get the most flattering versions of yourselves. I always aim to make you both look good.
