Wedding Films

You can see examples of my work below, I’ve deliberately chosen to show examples of different types of films from the same weddings to highlight how they differ.  Please do feel free to get in touch via my contact form if you have any questions about the different types of films, or would like to check if I’m free for your date.  My preference is to use ambient sound and audio with undertones of licensed music that suit the mood, but I will check with you what your preference is.

If what you want isn’t here, drop me a line, as I offer bespoke videos tailored to you and your day.

Highlight films  are typically a 4-5 minute story of your entire day, and reflect the mood and show the key moments of the day. You can also variations of these after the wedding, for example if there’s a particular part of the day you particularly want a highlight film of.

Licensed music is used so you are free to share/use on social media, and I generally overlay music and ambient audio alongside, so you can hear clapping or applause or other sounds naturally. It really does depend on the film, if appropriate,  I edit with speech and pre-recorded audio,  with just subtle undertones of music to enhance the mood of the film.

Feature films are much longer, ranging from 15 to 30 mins and include audio from throughout your day, and telling the story of your day in as much detail as possible, but still edited so the video flows well.  It’s the most intensive from an editing point of view, and needs several  songs to overlay,  as well as fitting the audio to multiple cameras, so understandably these films are more expensive as they take several weeks to create.

Teasers and Trailers are short films, under 1 minute long so they are ideal for posting on Instagram or other social media. Depending on your preference (and the film itself), they will either have music overlay, or natural audio and ambient sound.

They may focus on one part of the day in more detail, or give snippets from throughout the day – it’s your choice!  Maybe just you getting ready, or the garter toss – it’s completely up to you. They’re perfect for sharing with friends and family. I love doing trailers and teasers, if you’d like to see more, please follow me on Instagram @artoflifefilms

Flash films are essentially just that, a fast film with licensed music showing your day flashing past your eyes and fast and action packed! Great for something different and for putting on social media to give a flavour. I can also make these from your photos, subject to your photographer’s permission being given.

Finally, here are some samples of videos of the full ceremony and speeches so you get a feel for what’s included in these edits. These are generally around 30 mins each and include all the audio and multiple camera angles
