Children and grandchildren at the heart of a special family wedding in Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Karen and Alan's children all proudly watched their own children being involved at every stage and their parents getting married at last.
After the wedding and confetti throw, the guests lined up to congratulate the couple with champagne and canapes. People chilled out, and the children ran around and played hide and seek in the gardens.
The scent of lavender was everywhere, and the grounds are just beautiful. There’s a lily pond with a picturesque Monet style bridge, perfect for photos, as well as meadows with tall grass for romantic bride and groom shots, as well as a chance to escape for some peace and quiet.
After the reception and the speeches, the room was cleared for the cake-cut and the dancing, and the DJ was also an Elvis impersonator. Everyone let their hair down and danced the night away.
Karen and Alan's wedding had been a long time coming, so even their grandchildren were there to witness it, but it was well worth the wait!
Getting married was high on the bucket list for Karen and Alan, who’d been together almost all their life and just never got around to it. A shift in priorities in life meant they really wanted to tie the knot, and they chose The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells for their all-inclusive venue for their wedding.

The Spa Hotel has wet weather options for getting married indoors as well as a beautiful temple outside. It’d been raining all week before the wedding and even on the day of the wedding it was touch and go whether it would pour with rain or not. Fortunately the sun decided to shine and Karen's dream of marrying in the wedding temple came true.
The bride walked down the aisle on the arm of her oldest grandson, preceded by her two granddaughters, dressed in white and the smallest grandson looking super-smart as a little pageboy. The couple's granddaughters also did the readings for their ceremony
